Because it's not like he needs to spend more time focusing on the Jets' playbook...

From Fox's Jay Glazier: Brett Favre allegedly talked on the phone for 60 to 90 minutes to Lions' coaches, giving them tips about how to stop the Packers' offense.

This jealous ex-lover thing is going a little too far. Hey, Brett...you play for the Jets now. Try learning their playbook before wasting a lot of time talking about that of the Packers.

The part about this whole thing that I really enjoyed was Favre's denial today. He said something along the lines of how much could I tell them and, I quote, "I haven't even been in that offense in over a year." Over a year? Maybe Brett went the football direction after his accounting career didn't pan out but I am pretty sure he was in that offense when he threw that awful pick against the Giants in the NFC Championship game.

On the one hand, I see the point: he shouldn't be acting like a jealous ex-girlfriend. That's stupid.

But seriously, it's 90 minutes on the phone. It's not as though that time is going to make a difference in whether or not he sucks.
